Salaberry-de-Valleyfield (anciennement Pointe-du-Lac et Sainte-Cécile-de-Valleyfield), communément appelée Valleyfield et surnommée la « capitale du Suroît » ou la « Venise du Québec », est une ville québécoise située dans la municipalité régionale de comté de Beauharnois-Salaberry dans la région de la Montérégie. En 2020, elle compte plus de 42 964 habitants, ce qui fait d'elle la 29e ville la plus peuplée du Québec ainsi que la 118e ville la plus peuplée du Canada.

Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is a city in southwestern Quebec, Canada, in the Regional County Municipality of Beauharnois-Salaberry.

The population as of 2019 was 42,410. Situated on Grande-Île, an island in the Saint Lawrence River, it is bordered at its western end by Lake Saint Francis, with the Saint Lawrence to the north and the Beauharnois Canal to its south. The Port of Valleyfield is on the canal.

The historic downtown is a major touristic centre for the area. Due to the presence of Lake St. Francis (St. Lawrence River), St. Francis Bay downtown, and numerous rivers and canals all over the town, the city is nicknamed ''The Venice of Quebec'

In 2002, the city of 26,170 amalgamated with the following communities: Saint-Timothée (8,299) and Grande-Île (4,559)

Les pompiers volontaires (policiers) ont assurés la protection de la ville jusqu'au 10 mars 1887, la protection incendie de la ville de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield est assurée par des policiers-pompiers.Le 1er avril 2000 que le nouveau Service de sécurité incendie débuta officiellement ses opérations.

The volunteer firefighters (policemen) ensured the protection of the city until March 10, 1887, the fire protection of the city of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is ensured by police-firefighters. On April 1, 2000, the new Security Service fire officially began its operations.
