The Township of Champlain Fire Department comprises over 50 volunteer firefighters in two fire halls. It provides protective services in the four wards of its territory: West Hawkesbury, Longueuil, Vankleek Hill and L'Orignal. These fire halls protect 8665 residents (2021) in an area of over 207 km².
